Let's Face it, The Boys are just as important as the girls (actually more important when you understand the breeding program) they just do not get all the attention like the Moms and babies do.
We spend a lot of time and energy selecting GREAT males. We assess their Pedigree going back several generations. We check out their Mother and Father and Siblings. We monitor the Father's pups from other females/litters and we ask lots of questions about how all those other offspring turned out. We want to know of health problems or behavior problems and of course we want to know about all the GREAT STUFF too! Then we make the decision to get a little Guy with great hopes and plans for his future and we wait and train and wait and test and wait and see how he will turn out. Is he eager to please? Is he gentle and kind? Are ALL his joints excellent? Is he athletic and sound? Is he a TRUE Ambassador of the breed? |
Bowser BoyBowser has proven himself to be AMAZING, over and over again. Bowser LOVES life and it shows in his exuberance to be working or to be with his pack or his master. He loves the poultry, he works all manner of stock, he has wonderful pups, he is instantly obedient and he is a HAPPY, and HEALTHY and it shows kind of DOG.
Bowser is a bit standoffish with strangers and he will take a bit of time to check them out before deciding how much he likes them. But eventually we will come up and sniff their hand and accept them AND for the LUCKY ones....Bowser will gently lick your hand and that means there must be something very special about you! |

Prince RomeoRomeo is a tail spinning like a helicopter propeller, LOVER of connecting with friends, family and good people, tolerant of just about everything except another intact male. He will quickly become the center of attention because he is so gorgeous and charismatic. So many times when folks are visiting our English Shepherds and they meet and greet Romeo and spend a little time with him, they say....."I want an English Shepherd like Romeo!
