Shining Starr.. what a perfect name you have grown into.
Kind and gentle, smart and quick, sensitive and tuned in, brave and devoted. I think she will be an amazing Mother. She loves the baby kittens and kid goats and ducks and chicks (just like her Dad-Bowser Boy!) She is strikingly beautiful and attracts attention wherever she goes. She loves to go. Anywhere FarmerCarol goes...Starr wants to go. If the pickup truck door is open...she is in the truck. If she hears keys jingle or gathering of stuff for transport, loading hay for the cattle, putting on a jacket for travel, she'll NOT let you out of her sight. "PLEASE. please can I go too?" she says with her straight in the eye LOOK and you know what she is asking and so you answer her. "OK you can go" and instantly, she is a "celebration in motion". If the answer is "No, Starr, not this time". What?, how could you say THAT? How could you deny me my purpose for living.....to be there, by your side, involved in anything and helping with everything?? Sad, hung down pouty face, tail between the legs. moving in slow motion towards the kennel or dog yard, glancing back to see if her obvious heartbreak has changed my mind and she continues her drudge trip to the instructed destination where she wants you to think she will die while you are gone....until you have pulled away and then she immediately recovers and gets on with life. She can pu t on a show, she could have been a show dog. She would have been a Shining Starr. She is quite the classic bossy ES gal...she takes after her Grandmother, Maeve in that department. She runs a tight ship at the farm and every thing and every one should be in its place or she will put it there. ALL dogs will mind FarmerCarol OR Starr will be on them like a beam of light setting them straight about it. Didn't you hear Ma calling you? Get here faster next time! Why did you run off into the woods? Why did you jump in the pond? Why did you roll in THAT? You know this behavior is NOT allowed! She is the Role-model for the other dogs and animals and she expects them to live up to her standards. She really is a Shining Starr. Instantly obedient, she is often there before you finish the call or the whistle, a bit of a mind reader who wants to know what you are thinking so that she can be all you want her to be. She has a BIG Heart and gives her all to PLEASE. She just loves to "Get-it-Right". Starr is the best of helpers around the farm and if called upon for any job will give it her all. Check out this VIDEO of her helping Farmer Carol out of a jam in the middle of a lot of very long horned & hungry Scottish Highland cattle. Whew, she saved the day! Her first litter was born in March of 2018. She is a wonderful Mother. She is naturally nurturing and always has been. She babysat lots of other puppies her first 2 years of life and will take any other dog's pups and nurse them with love! Starr's 2nd litter of pups were born 2019. Check out Starr's VIDEO of her 3rd litter-born 11.03.20. Starr has not had puppies in 2 years so we plan to breed her in 2023. She goes around and will try to steal any other dogs pups if given half a chance! Hahaha, what a hoot you are Starr. This page is under construction to bring you current on Starr's life journey and future plans. Stay tuned and watch Starr Shine. |
